Our story
My Access Abroad grew out of our own lived experience: navigating undocumented status, student and work permits, and the uncertainty that comes with crossing borders.
We started by documenting how other migrants in the U.S. built their lives, careers and businesses against the odds. Then we received funding to produce our first independent documentary, Portraits de Français en Chine, during the year we lived in China.
Today we partner with institutions and communities to surface insights from people on the move: how to access opportunity, navigate uncertainty and build across borders.
Itziri Gonzalez Barcenas
Itziri is a policy analyst, human rights advocate, and public speaker working at the intersection of migration and inclusive development. She is writing a book on migration, borders, and family separations. She previously worked with UN agencies, the OECD, and the CNRS on global projects spanning climate, migration, and development.
A former DACA recipient, she studied Global Affairs at Tsinghua University as a Schwarzman Scholar and CONACYT Fellow, Human Rights at Sciences Po Paris, and Political Science/Africana Studies at Davidson College.
Brice Rosette
Brice is a senior talent strategist with a background in tech sales and consulting working across the Americas, Europe, and Africa. He led early-stage growth at an RPA consultancy in the US before moving into AI & tech talent acquisition for an MBB firm. Raised between France and Martinique, he has lived in the US, Mexico and China and speak from experience what it means to build a life across continents.
He studied International Business at Howard University, Sales Management and Negotiation at EM Strasbourg, and Business Chinese at BLCU.
